Good Day Neighbors,
As I reported at our Strawberry Fire Safe meeting Saturday May 21st we have received funding for GREEN WASTE DUMPSTERS to assist us in our effort to create defensible space throughout the entire Strawberry Community!
Wood rounds, pine needles, duff in general...all can go in the dumpster.
There can be NO TRASH, GARBAGE, or RECYCLABLES placed in these containers.
NO PAINTED, STAINED WOOD, ROCKS, CONCRETE, DIRT, STUMPS, SOD OR METALS of any kind.
Should anything other than GREEN WASTE be found, as a penalty our cost will be doubled to $900.00!!!
As El Dorado County Fire Chief Tim Cordero stated at the meeting,
"if it originates in your yard it can go in...
if it came from a store it CANNOT!"
We sincerely hope that you are able to take advantage of this dumpster program, and also remember to go to the El Dorado County Fire Safe Council website www.EDCFiresafe.org for details on the chipper program.
